What is Exoplanet Watch?
Connect with us. We'd love to hear from you!
Slack Workspace
- Slack is the primary way that Exoplanet Watchers communicate with the Team and with each other to help make this project a success. All are welcome and encouraged to join! Some starting channels:
- #introductions-for-beginners - introduce yourself and ask your beginner questions
- #data-requests - for when you get to that step and need help getting data
- #exotic - for those who need help with our data analysis software
- #data-upload-aavso for help with sharing your work and to get some well-earned kudos for your successes!
- #observing for those who have, or are looking into, telescopes
- #outreach-and-presentations for any educators, astronomy clubs, content creators, and others who want to share about exoplanets
- #astrophotography for jaw dropping pictures of the universe!
- #random just for fun and non-exoplanet questions!
Monthly Newsletters
- Submit your email address to the "Sign Up" box to the side (or at the bottom on mobile). Newsletters can include monthly exoplanets to observe, a Watcher of the Month, Astrophoto of the Month, recent publications, and project/exoplanet news.
- See past Newsletters.
Bi-weekly Meetings
Join us at upcoming meetings to meet fellow Watchers, find our live connection info in the Slack or Newsletters. Come learn about exoplanet science from experts, ask your questions, and more. Typically every other Fridays at 11am, we are a global community across 24 time zones, so times and days can vary. Check the website/Slack for the most update information. Past meetings are recorded and posted online for viewing.
