Meeting Overview

NASA’s Exoplanet Program Analysis Group (ExoPAG) meetings are a vital platform where the science community can actively shape the future of exoplanet exploration. By participating in the ExoPAG, you have the unique opportunity to influence NASA by proposing and contributing to Science Interest Groups (SIGs) and Study Analysis Groups (SAGs). These groups focus on specific areas of study with goals such as gathering the latest information from subject matter experts, identifying opportunities to fill knowledge gaps in key areas, and contributing to the overall success of future exoplanet missions.

SIGs and SAGs produce reports and findings that are presented to NASA Headquarters, directly impacting the priorities and strategies of NASA’s exoplanet exploration efforts. Additionally, any ExoPAG member can propose new findings, which are then discussed, voted on, and potentially advanced to NASA Headquarters if approved.

The ExoPAG community will hold its thirty-second meeting on June 3rd, 2025. This will be a fully virtual meeting open to all who would like to attend. Some of the agenda highlights are as follows:

  • NASA Programmatic Updates: Get the latest insights on projects, results, and strategic direction from NASA Headquarters and the Exoplanet Exploration Program Office including a briefing from Acting NASA Astrophysics Divison Director Shawn Domagal-Goldman.
  • Open Mic Sessions: Engage in an open discussion where all attendees can provide feedback on exoplanet-related topics, submit new suggestions, and directly influence the ExoPAG Executive Committee, the Exoplanet Exploration Program, and NASA Headquarters.
  • Project Updates from TESS, Roman, HWO, and SPHEREx: Learn about the latest developments on these exciting exoplanet related missions
  • Presentations from Early Career Scientists: We are excited to offer early-career scientists the opportunity to present their work at ExoPAG 32. Presentations should align with the priorities described in the current Exoplanet Exploration Program Science Gap List. Leadership and organizers are particularly interested in encouraging early-career students to participate and share their innovative research. Application is now open!

ExoPAG meetings offer a forum for deep discussions on scientific and technical issues in exoplanet exploration, with a strong emphasis on community input to guide NASA’s Exoplanet Exploration Program (ExEP). We encourage all interested members of the space science community to attend, participate, and contribute to the ongoing prioritization of activities that will advance our understanding of exoplanets. Suggestions for topics and speakers are always welcome as we strive to ensure these meetings reflect the community’s interests and priorities.

Community Feedback

Suggestions and input from the community are welcome and encouraged any time. Individuals can send proposed suggestions or findings to the ExoPAG Executive Committee (EC) for review via anonymous online forms.

Suggestions:

  • Suggestions for the ExoPAG will be dispositioned by the EC and can subsequently be discussed by the full ExoPAG at a bi-annual meeting.
  • Suggestion Form

Findings:

  • Findings can be presented, discussed, and voted on by the full ExoPAG at a bi-annual meeting. Findings that are approved by the ExoPAG are provided to NASA Headquarters by way of a written memo from the EC. (See description of past findings for reference)
  • Finding Form
