Potential proposers to the EPDS solicitation are encouraged to attend this pre-proposal workshop consisting of a solicitation seminar and a WIYN telescope familiarization site visit. The preproposal seminar - scheduled on Tuesday, March 17, 2013 - will cover the scope and intent of the solicitation, the characteristics of the WIYN telescope, NASA oversight of the development and commissioning process, and expectations for the Instrument Concept Study (ICS). Information will be presented by NASA officials, and participants will have the opportunity to pose questions regarding the opportunity. The workshop will also include a site visit on the following day - Wednesday, March 18, 2013 - to the WIYN telescope so that prospective proposers can see the telescope and facility first-hand.
